I really like the product, I wasn’t sure if it would show up on my locs, but it did. The only thing I don’t like is the flakes. Every time I scratch my head wax flakes fall out or the wax gets under my nails which is really annoying. Other than that I really like the product and would buy it again. When I received my package I used it first thing in the morning - the picture with the grey shirt was the same day when I was finished applying it (I also washed my hair prior to using the wax and twist it with leave-in conditioner). The instructions are extremely easy to follow - you begin on damp hair and work your way from the bottom up (I sprayed my hair with water first); the color is a lot brighter once your hair dries (second picture of my hair is the next day in the afternoon outside). Personally I feel that some customers who had issues with it may not have followed the instructions - I say this because before purchasing I watched several YouTube videos to see how it looked on 4A/4B natural hair and at least two creators used it on dry hair and some commented they had done the same. Regardless, the pigmentation is great as you can see - my natural hair color is dark brown. I found that it was not drying and did not cause my hair to flake, feel hard, dry, or brittle but that could be because as I said, I already had leave-in conditioner in my hair; I would not recommend using this as your sole hair product considering wax and castor oil are sealants, not moisturizers. The consistency of the wax itself is a bit tacky but not annoyingly sticky or greasy - it rinsed off my hands easily with just water and soap took away any color residue. I also didn't need to use the entire jar to get the color you see (I included a picture of what was left when I was finished, my hair straight is past shoulder - about 2/3 of the jar remains). The only pitfall with this is it DOES TRANSFER COLOR until your hair dries. Once dry there is very slight transfer but nothing extremely noticeable. I would advise anyone buying this to stay away from items you do not want stained while your hair is wet or your hands are not clean; I touched my phone case and washed it with soap but all of the color didn't come out of it (see photo). Other than that I really enjoyed this - it's fun and I would purchase again!(P.S. - if you are wary about the product please don't buy it - Amazon's return policy specifically says "Some health and personal care items" - while it may not specify which, opening health and beauty items render them non-sterile; defective and damaged products are one thing, not liking it is another)I've been a customer of hair paint wax for a couple years now and have tried other brands and feel that their product is superior, not only the consistency between colors, The scent is great and it doesn't make my hair super duper hard like a rock It's still pliable enough to style without wetting it. I just need the green color to come back in stock! It did it’s job but even after being applied 3 days ago; it stain the color of my shirt, and my hands. I just applied on my tips and it is EVERYWHERE!Similar to the color of amethyst gemstones. I use a very small amount at the tips of my hair as an accent color. It is easy to apply and control the saturation of color. Easy clean up simply by washing hands.Um. It definitely works but it actually stained my hair for some reason lol it took like 6 washes to get it all the way out and it’s still faint. But ATLEAST we know it works !The color was very pretty. The only issue I had with this product is that it rubs off on everything. It was on my pillow cases, sheets, and shirt, etc. This came out pink. I used quite a bit to coat my natural curly hair. When it dried it was more fuschia than red. It was also pretty flaky. I used it on freshly washed hair and my also used leave-in conditioner. So I’m not sure if that contributed to the flakiness.
