Because red heart is no longer making the team spirit line, i chose this yarn to crochet a scarf for my grandson for christmas. The colors are lining up ok but having 4 colors versus 2 i think is causing the issue. i believe this yarn would do better on larger projects, but i am happy so far with the way the scarf is turning out.Nice color. Good buy. Would definitely buy again.Love the color. Perfect for my project. The red is a little lighter than true red as you can see in the picture- all yarn colors are red heart brand and no it’s not a completed project. The white has some red bleed on it so there is a hint of pinkish orangish discoloration randomly- I’m ok with it for this blanket but something to be aware of. I looked at several variegated color options before choosing this one and am happy with my choice.I liked the volor and the softness. I knitted scarffs for Christmas giftsI loved the softness and color. I make scarffs fir Christmas gifts.Yarn was prefect to place in a pink baby blanket I am crocheting.Red Heart yarn has been my go to yarn for as long as I can remember. This pooling yarn does NOT disappoint!Yes you CAN color pool with this yarn. I bought it in two colors and they work like any variegated yarn. You HAVE to use a moss stitch. Any other pattern will NOT work. Color pooling yarn is typically very exact in the length of color variations but you can use any machine dyed variegated yarn to color pool, not just pooling yarn. As long as you keep the number of stitches per color the same for every color AND you match every other row to be one stitch off in color, your yarn will pool. It just takes a bit of guess work to get the first four rows correct when starting the pattern. I always start with the number of chains I need for what ever I am making, complete halfway through the third row, count how many stitches my colors are off from the first row.l, add or subtract by one, times that number by two, frog to the chain, and add that many more chains. Should work out perfect.I love this yarn. I previously bought another make and was so disappointed that the colours bled into each other, making colour pooling very difficult. The red Heart yarn only has a limited colour sequence so the Argyll effect is not as intricate as with the other yarn but it is so simple to use and there is no bleeding between the colours. Like some other customers I found the yarn a bit stiff but yes it does soften on washing. I've ordered several more balls and can't wait to start working on my pullover when they all arrive.Didn’t like the rough teztureUsed for planned pooling. Perfect!Very coarse woolVery disappointed that this yarn was 3X’s the cost of the same product found at Walmart. If I hadn’t given it away as a gift, would definitely be SENDING IT BACK !!!!!Extremely disappointed
