Staci Hart never fails to amaze me with her incredible stories that tug at my heartstrings. Her books are always so much more than I ever expected. Piece of Work was a true masterpiece and one of my favorite books by this author.Rin is my favorite kind of heroine because I could see a bit of myself in her. She's shy, a bit awkward, determined, quirky, funny, loyal, and a great friend. When she lands an internship for her dream job her lack of confidence threatens to hold her back. It's amazing what some encouragement from her BFFs and a little tube of red lipstick can do for a girl.Court Lyons is the curator of museum and Rin's new boss. He's intimidating, powerful, guarded and complex. After his first meeting with his new intern she fails to impress him. The more time he spends with her the harder Court finds it to fight the attraction that simmers between them. Rin and Court are my favorite couple from this author. They are so well matched that I couldn't help but find myself rooting for them. This book had a bit of everything I've come to expect from this author- romance, humor, angst, amazing characters, and all the feels. I loved the underlying message of self acceptance and learning to be happy with exactly who you are. Piece of Work was a brilliant work of art that held me captivated until the very last page.
