I put this s*** on everything, sorry, a Frank's Red Hot joke. Seriously though it is a delicious base to any meal. I started only using it in Asian dishes but then I realized I could spice up my chili and give it another level of flavor. If you do not like spicy don't like spicy, then only us 3/4 of a teaspoon to make sure it's the flavor you're looking for. You could always add more. I generally use two good-sized tablespoons in a large pot for the whole family meal. I throw it in right after I sauteed my onions and bloomed the garlic and let it cook for a few minutes to start releasing some of the oils in it. I've even used it in a rub on different Meats. This chili paste, is in my opinion, the best on the market and can make any meal taste delicious and with a touch of spice. Enjoy!!!Nice and hot! It adds heat and spice to whatever you like. Just perfect for us! If you want only a touch of flavor, just use a small amount to start and adjust from there. I first bought it at a specialty store. It’s fabulous! The smell of it hits you first!! The smell of this is pure heaven!! The taste is what hits next... Delicious.. Think chunky Siracha. Then the heat comes.... A bit more than a Siracha, but not too much... Awesome on anything you put on... Chunky slightly hotter Siracha is a perfect description, in my opinion... Absolutely try some! Even good as salsa with chips!!I was worried as a regular Sriracha addict when I heard the fight in Irwindale, California between local residence and the Huy Fong Foods company, the makers of the wonderful hot sauce in their huge 650,000 square-feet building. In 2014 the Irwindale City Council voted to drop a public nuisance declaration and lawsuit - thank God.The company has a slogan which fits with my love of the sauce; "I put Sriracha on my Sriracha". Had I known about Huey Fong Sambal Oelek Chili Paste I would have switched my loyalty years ago. To me it has more flavor though it is hotter than the thinner Sriracha sauce. There is almost nothing I would not be tempted to use it for, starting with just about any boring food, of which there are too many to name. I am not sure I will ever buy Sriracha sauce and may find myself always using the paste instead.I have used it in soups, salad dressing, pasta dishes, omelet's, a little smear on a toasted cheese sandwich and just about anything else you can think of. I understand you can make your own chili paste but sometimes even an ardent cook can find a product that is as good or better than anything he could hope to do himself. This is one of those times.1st time trying this product. It’s got a punch for sure! Nice chili flavor and, for me, a little goes a long way so value for the money is very high. Side note: the product is packed in a plastic container so there’s no need to worry about a glass container breaking during shipping. The best ingredient for Anne Burrell's turkey burger recipe. I would recommend purchasing. The bottle is not too big but the flavor is the bestThis is probably my favorite condiment. I panic when I see that the jar is getting close to empty! The area where I live has limited access to this wonderful sauce. If only the "conventional" grocery stores in the area (aka - Publix, Winn-Dixie, and even Wal-Mart) realized how great this stuff is they might carry it - as it is, finding it at a store is dicey at best. I love this mixed into my homemade Pad-Thai and to flavor almost anything else from soups to salad dressings. It's hotter than Siracha sauce and I think it has a better flavor. Sambal Olek adds a great kick to sandwiches too. It's nice to know that it's available here. I am not a Prime member and some items you just cannot buy if you aren't a Prime member (if I'm wrong please explain) but I can buy this which doesn't require a Prime membership. Yay! Great Stuff.
