I've tried many styles of "work" pants from several brands, and had issues with all of them. Even very popular styles fit awful, had design flaws, poor stitching, or some other defect. I was especially disappointed with several other models of Red Kap pants I bought on Amazon, which were all stitched so poorly they looked like they would come apart in their first wash, and the hemming was so cheap it looked like it was done by hand. They also had very rough and stiff fabric, especially for the pockets, and zippers that weren't smooth. Sizing was also all over the map. Smaller sizes of the same models were actually much larger when put side-by-side! In retrospect, I have to wonder if these were all counterfeit products being sold on Amazon.Anyway, this pair finally hit all the right marks. The stitching actually looks competent, it's hemmed properly, and the fit was exactly as expected for the listed size. The fabric is heavier than dress pants, but not as heavy as jeans/dungarees/duck/canvass. It's a little bit heavier than a pair of Dickies Flex Double Knee pants. It feels like it should be able to stand up to some blue-collar work, while giving a professional look. Exactly what I need for my position.
