One of the reviewers stated it was for her young son's birthday and all the adults had fun with it. Boys never grow up so gave it to my older brother. He has a house full of boys __ his sons, nephews, father __ I am told it is used for the delivery of popcorn. The only problem I see is it could come with more than 1 ball and 1 rubber band. My 4 yr old is hard on toys. But it's super durable otherwise and he thoroughly enjoys it.Its very tinyPurchased this for my son's 4th birthday party. We made a castle cake and my sister suggested using this catapult with whoppers for all the guests to attack the castle. Fantastic! Whoppers are the exact size of the ball, which is also nice in case you lose the ball. We found that bracing the catapult slightly over the edge of the table to ensure maximum lauchability was best. Everyone tried it, including all the adults and hilarity ensued. (Of course there was much 'Attack the castle' 'Aye!' 'Prepare for disaster!' comments from everyone, which might have added to the laughter). FYI, if you choose to attack a castle cake and use ALOT of frosting like we did - the whoppers just landed and stuck fast in the frosting. You really would need jaw breakers to truly destroy the castle. I guess there's always next birthday! We have a few of the knights and horses and our boys are always playing with them. For Christmas, we got them a castle, this catapult, and a dragon, and they have played with them a whole lot. The catapult adds a lot to their pretend play. We actually lost the little ball that can be catapulted pretty early on, but our boys play with it just the same. The little brown ball it comes with looks exactly like and is the same size as whoppers, so I've thought about buying some whoppers for them to use with it, if they ever complain about it being lost.Grandson loved this!! Goes great in his castle! Great detail!Perfect for trophy I made for a medieval themed scout camp.Apariencia muy realVery well made, lovely attention to detail, seems robust and works as a catapult. My almost 8yr old thinks it's fab.Thoroughly recommend using malteasers, we had a huge giggle trying to catapult malteasers into our mouths - be aware it does throw with some force so don't get too near!I plan to buy my son some of the figures and dragons too. Not terrible cheap but the quality makes it worth the pennies. This is amazing! We have tried so many catapults and they have all broken or are really flimsy. This is so well made and looks authentic. Its a lot bigger than i thought it would be! Beautifully painted and sturdy. My son is going to love recieving this for his birthday! This is going to be a gift but it looks great and I'm sure the boy receiving it will love it. I wish it was in a box to make it neater to pack but that is just me!My son asked for one of these for his 8th birthday. He was not disappointed. He is enjoying many battles now with his Knights and horses. A great addition to his set.
