Bought these for my wife and a baby blue pair for my daughter. We are sharing our favorite pastime with our daughter. A great activity to get off the couch and also to create awesome memories. Don't waste your time and money on cheaply priced skates. You'll regret it. Sure-Grip is a well-known brand and this skate doesn't disappoint. Suede boot will last years and will get formed to your feet like any other leather shoe. You won't get that with a cheap vinyl boot. Wheels are soft for outdoor skating a move almost effortlessly on asphalt. Roller skating is making a comeback and you don't want to be left out. It's been 38yrs since I strapped a pair of skates on and wow did I miss it. My advise... get yourself some skates for you and your family and go have fun. You will laugh, exercise and create memories all at the same time. Live life. Get off your couch. Thanks Sure-Grip for creating an iconic skate with fresh new colors to appeal to anyone wanting to "Roll Bounce" and "Rock Skate" (old school) song known at every skating rink in the Good Ole USA!!!These are my second pair of Sure Grip Boardwalks. I have a tan pair as well but the gorgeous red color just grabbed my attention and I fell in love! These beauties are just as great a quality as you would expect from Sure Grip. Nice heavy leather and suede boot. Sewn on sole which you find on only the best of skates. Rock nylon plate which is supposed to be one of the strongest nylon plates out there. Good quality Sure Grip outdoor wheels that are great for trail riding though I changed them out for indoor wheels. I’ll use the original wheels when summer roles back around. You just can’t beat Sure Grip Boardwalks for value for the price. There are other skates out there that are much more expensive that don’t have the quality points that Boardwalks do. These skates can be used from beginners to experts on your skating journey. They do need some break in time with the thick leather boot though. Usually 10-12 hours of wear time. Don’t worry! After that they will mold to your feet and ankles like a glove! Good ankle support and a bit wider in the toe box than some brands of skates as well. I have a bunion on one foot and these fit me fine. Anyway, these are excellent skates for beginners or more experienced riders as well! Wonderful for the money! I couldn’t express that highly enough!Really excited about these skates and incredibly happy that I could find a seller that had them in stock with extremely fast shipping. These skates in my opinion fit true to size. I’m a women’s 8 which is the equivalent to a men’s 7 which is what I ordered and they fit like a glove! The suede boot IS stiff at first (that’s to be expected with any leather product) but this was very easy to fix. All I did was flex the suede around the ankle area to break it in a little and they’re already a thousand times more comfortable. I would recommend wearing them around the house for an hour or two with a heavy sock before skating to help break them in a little more before going outside. Don’t let this discourage you as leather products are very forgiving and will stretch and mold to the shape of your foot. The other thing I noticed is the stock toe stop isn’t the best, but that’s also not entirely unusual nor is that the sellers fault. For this, I would recommend replacing the toe stops which is pretty affordable ($20-$30). If you’re reading this and unsure of what toe stop to replace the stock ones with, I would say either the Chaya cherry bombs or Gumball! Aside from these two things I have to say this is a very well made skate. The boot is stitched and also looks like it was glued so that adds for double reinforcement for outdoor skating. The plate is nylon so it’s lighter than aluminum and they come with 65mm/78A wheels, perfect for a smooth ride on pavement! All in all I would absolutely recommend this skate to anyone who is looking for quality at an affordable price. Great for beginners as well as those who are more advanced. Hope this helps! <3Upon receiving these outdoor skates I thought they were rather stiff; however, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and used them a bit more to break them in and they were great. I am rather new to outdoor skating, but I've been indoor skating since I was a child. These wheels are primarily for outdoor use so I would not advise using these indoors (unless you want to slip and slide around the rink). I had to loosen the bearings the first time around, but after loosening the bearing I had no further problems. The bearing that the skates have are ABEC 3. I would advise for outdoor skaters to spray your faux suede skates with some sort of protectant to prevent stains. These babies take well to outdoor terrain the wheels are definitely soft enough to skate over lumps and bumps, but make sure that you get the right size skates. The size I had bought was slightly large so I had to double up my socks. I vary between a womens 10-11 and I ordered a size 9. If you are looking for a good outdoor skate I would highly advise these. If you are new to skating, these might be a bit hard to manuver since they are a bit stiff. Again, they are outdoor skates so you would have to purchase a seperate set of wheels. I didn' post pictures because my skates are very used and a little muddy (that may not make for the best example pictures.) They come exactly as they appear and the sole of actual shoe is some sort of plastic material, not metal. I hope this is helpful.
