I first came across Red Thunder when I found a copy of their 2nd CD, "Makoce Wakan", in HMV Oxford Street, and I bought it and was delighted with it - an outstanding set of reality sounds by a Native American group. Over the years I went on to purchase and love their "Hidden Medicine", "America's Last Frontier" and "Native Children's Survival" CDs, and I saw the first Red Thunder CD on the internet, but it seemed to be an EP from "Makoce Wakan", so I didn't buy a copy. However, curiosity eventually encouraged me to buy a copy of this CD, and it features different and excellent early versions of their great songs such as "Heartbeat", "Prayer Song" and "Sacred Ground". OK, it's a bit short, less than 26 minutes long, but it's really good. Red Thunder are an important and very relevant voice. Please listen to them!
