Seems a bit thin when stretched out. Hoping it lasts . Original one missing this did the trick to connect the air cleaner to the throttle bodyAll three of these intake components are from Spectre performance. They worked great for my custom intake (Subaru EJ22 in 67'VW bus) setup. Very happy with these products!I bought this product to connect my 3" snorkel to its riser tube. Both the snorkel and the riser are exactly 2.96" in diameter but this so-called 3" hose will not fit over either tube. Waste of money and now I have had it long enough so that the return window has closed :(good replacement for factoryI didn't use this for a cold air intake. The Porsche 944 alternator has a cooling duct that basically disintegrates over time. This is much more robust and makes for a tidy engine bay.Worked great, arrived rather quickly, Make sure you know what size of intake you have because I had to cut this down in order to fit it into mineWas not impressed.5 stars for flexibility and strength. The soft rubber ends also ensure a good fitting and the hose does not require cutting.
