If you're reading this, you are perhaps more curious about TELEVISION, the 1978's Band, or maybe you're a diehard fan like myself, or you might also be a fan of Tom Verlaine. If you're new to TELEVISION, the late 1970's Band, start with their very best CD/ Album: 1978's TELEVISION'S ADVENTURE. The sonic quality, song writing, musical arrangements, lyrics, vocals and superb guitar work are all the best of all their work!! Or even their second-best work: TELEVISION MARQUEE MOON.The two CD's of this review, TELEVISION's: THE BLOW-UP, and TELEVISION's "TELEVISION" are 2nd-Rate and 3rd-Rate, respectively! The BLOW-UP is a good historical diehard-fan performance of the band, TELEVISION and just 2nd-Rate. If you're a real big, super diehard fan, the 3rd-Rate TELEVISION's: "TELEVISION" is yet another historical CD performance. (Even so, as a die-hard fan, I like to listen to these lesser CD's to observe how they progressed to ADVENTURE!)Here's the context for my above comments: As a diehard fan of all the above mentioned in the first paragraph, these last two CD's, I listen to 1/10th as often as their excellent ADVENTURE!! And 1/15th as often as their second best CD, MARQUEE MOON. If you're still curious, just start with 1978's TELEVISION's: ADVENTURE! Enough said!?! Caio!
