I read this series of books with my son when he was young. He outgrew them before the series finished, but I did not! I am not ashamed to admit that I happily awaited the release of each new book. I purchased this for the small library we provide in our vacation rental. Maybe one of our renter's children will spend a rainy or snowy day curled up with a good book instead of playing video games!Love these books I found these gems (the first 4 books) back in my early teens and just now reread and finished the series in my late 20’s Lol.The only thing that gets me is this last book feels rushed feels like a lot of story was edited out so the the series could endThe action doesn't stop. I love how all of the characters are working together instead of impulsively by themselves.I have been following Charlie bone for several years and the story continues in Nimmo's inimatable style. Good story as usual as Charlie tries to get Billy Raven out of Badlock.The audio book narrator is also good - an important issue for me.The Red King and his Wife appear more prominently.I loved all the previous books in the Charlie Bone series and this one was no exception. The narrator is also great! I would definitely recommend buying the audio version. In this case, it certainly enhances the reading experience.Fabulous series!BOUGHT FOR A GIFT.Love this Series!!!!
