Red Kap Men's Technician GloveBought these for my son to use when working on his car.Man I should have bought him these months ago!!Much better for teen to work on his truck in these than disposable gloves he has been usingWould have saved him some scrapes on his knuckles and saved on the box of kitchen disposables he has been using.He recently had to change out the brake rotors on his back brakes and was thrilled to have these.That way he did not have to change from the disposable gloves 100 times.Plus these gave him more grip and leverage for getting the rusted bolts off. *his truck is a tad old.Not having to take off gloves so much really has saved him time too.The straps are a little odd on them but for the big jobs where he does not need to take these off until the end it is fine.These gloves are great. They seem to be well made and have reinforcement where it is needed.I find these gloves to be very comfortable. They are the right amount of thickness while not being too thick such as to impede motion. Dexterity is on-par with other work gloves. The touch screen feature works pretty well, but I tend to take my gloves off to use my iPhone or Apple Watch so I don't use that very often - perhaps if I wear these gloves in cold weather that will prove more useful.My only complaint is the Hook and Loop (i.e. Velcro) strap is challenging to get on. Most of my gloves with straps only require my opposite hand to strap the Hook and Loop; these gloves require me to awkwardly press my hand against my body (with my palm facing up) and I struggle to get the strap at the "just right" tightness. For that reason, I don't like wearing these gloves in situations that will require frequent on/off, such as when added dexterity is required.I will use these gloves for gardening activities such as lawn mowing, string trimming, using shovels and other garden tools, etc. I would not suggest these gloves for construction.These Red Kap Technician Gloves are very well made. The top is made from durable neoprene and polyester with TPR rubber knuckle protectors that have the Red Kap logo embossed at the top. The thumb and three of the fingers have touch screen compatible fabric allowing the use of a device without removing the gloves. The synthetic leather is durable and should withstand a beating over time. There is strategically placed padding on the palm that is triple stitched in most places, double stitched in others. The Velcro fastener at the cuff keeps the glove in place, and the gloves even have a hook loop to hang them up when finished.Unfortunately, I cannot use these gloves. The Extra Large size is just not large enough for my big hands and they feel tight, especially if I try to make a fist. I guess I will never know how the glove's “High Dexterity” works, because I just cannot work with these gloves. Those who have larger hands may want to look elsewhere, however if size is not an issue, I would definitely recommend the Red Kap Technician Glove.I really like these gloves for working in the garden or doing mechanical tasks. They have thick palms and protection on the back as well. They are easy to get on, and are comfortable. The only downside is that the palm has a couple of ventilation holes in them, but that also can allow dirt and other things in.I got the Large size and they fit my hands very nicely. It’s a snug fit, which I appreciate, and the hook-and-loop wrist closure makes them even snugger, which is great for most work. All the palm side fingertips are touchscreen compatible. I tried them on my smartphone and an 8-inch tablet and they worked perfectly The outside index, middle and ring fingertips are also touch screen compatible. The palm side also has built-up areas in the palm running up through the thumb and additional built-up areas toward the heel of the hand. These should considerably ease the stress of working with screwdrivers, wrenches and similar tools. There are also a few small vent holes on the palm side which I assume are intended to reduce sweating. The outside has rubber-like padding on top of the middle, ring and little fingers which should minimize scratches and abrasions. The fabric is very comfortable. I like these gloves. They feel light even though the construction is heavy-duty, fit my hands exceedingly well and don’t reduced my dexterity much. And the touchscreen compatible fingertips are a real plus.JerryFits great and is a gorgeous color! Very happy with this product.
