I have been a big and I mean HUGE fan of Duran Duran since the very early 80's when they first came out. I was drawn to everything about them, their style, look and sound of their music. I was won over easily and could never wait for the next album to come out. When the band had decided to do separate projects I was scared and excited. Scared that Duran Duran my never be any more but excited to hear new music. I like Power Station but I loved Arcadia! Arcadia had the sound and melodies I enjoyed and to me was a far better album then Power Station. I had always known that there was other music out there by Arcadia such as the remixes and 12" Mixes but because of my lack of money at the time I was not able to buy all of them. Now Simon LeBon, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor have decided to re-release this masterpiece of music with all of the bonus tracks and mixes. I can't say enough how much I enjoy listening to it and remembering back to my young days as a Mod (as we were called) It was the music of our time and I for one have not and will not forget it. Arcadia isn't what Duran Duran is or ever was it was completely different and I loved that. Where Duran Duran was more of a pop sound Arcadia is a more dark "Moody and gray" if I can say style. Enchanting sounds and haunting melodies this is music I truly appreciate and I think that any fan of the 80's or Duran Duran will truly love.
