So far so good. As others have said this is well built and well designed. The zippers move smoothly and seem robust. The design is well thought out. I use this as my EDC bag. I like being able to have a water bottle in one pocket and throw my empty insulated coffee cup into the other pocket at the end of the day. The main compartment is large enough to handle my letter-sized (9" X 12") portfolio along with my lunch box. The top grab-handle is very convenient. The shoulder straps are great and comfortable. The one thing that pictures can't really show is that while this has ample space (it's along the lines of being 1250 cu inches) the overall impression is pretty sedate. You don't realize how big this thing is until you start putting stuff in it and you have all this space left over. But when I throw it on the passenger seat in the morning or on the shelf when I get home, it really just doesn't take up that much space. That's a plus from my perspective.I bought this to replace a Drago combat tactical pack (sling bag) that broke after two years. I much prefer this bag to that one. Hopefully, this will outlast the Drago. I would have every confidence in using this as a day pack for hiking. Buy it and enjoy.
