Description
KYB AGX manually-adjustable shocks and struts allow you to design your own ride control performance without special tools, quickly and as often as you want. Enthusiasts can increase individual corner damping rates up to 125% more than the vehicle’s OEM design. For ease of access, depending on vehicle application, the KYB AGX either has an eight position knob or a four position screwdriver slot. However, both offer the same overall capability. One simple adjustment increases both rebound and compression damping. Whether on the street or on a race track, the AGX’s velocity sensitive damping valves instantly react to driving conditions to maintain tire contact and vehicle control. The AGX is a great solution for more demanding conditions that OE replacement parts just can’t handle.

I installed these (741036 on the rear and 741035 on the front) of my 2004 Mazda Miata. Here on Amazon, they were almost half the price that the national auto part chains were selling them for.I love absolutely these KYB AGX shocks on my Miata. The suspension response is much "quicker" and the car moves a lot less over bumps, yet the ride is more comfortable than it was on the original shocks. Brake dive and corner lean are both nearly non-existent with these installed and tuned to my liking. I currently have them set at a max of "4" in the front and "2" in the rear and I really like this combination. Any loss of grip is immediately communicated to the driver and it's very smooth and predictable. Under/over-steer is incredibly balanced. When pushed past the limits of grip the car now slips smoothly sideways rather than sliding out or pushing through the turn.Specifics about my car and the installation that impact the handling and feel: The car has 108,000 miles and the shocks I replaced were factory original. My Bridgestone Potenza tires are unevenly worn (front/back) and I moved the more worn pair the front and the better pair to the rear when I did the shock change. I left the factory springs on the car mostly because I did not wish to lower the car or otherwise drastically alter the already stellar handling.I will endeavor to add updates over time and after taking the car our for an autocross or track day.
