ORIGINAL SOUNDS Im no hiphop fan at all but I can APPRECIATE production and there are only a couple of hiphop tracks here. Mostly it is what I would call minimal soul. Raw beats, bendy basslines and simple percussions typical of the tru thoughts production and sounds. My favs on the label have to be Quantic. Bonobo used be on this and I love him also. It's taken the raw approach and direction like Ninja Tunes. Whilst this collection is well made, edgy and funky with deep soul melodies I don't find myself going back to their stuff much. I don't know why. Like I said OLD Tru thoughts stuff was mint. Try it though you might like it?
