I got this Sling pack earlier this year. I have been using it daily ever since. This is a good size bag for daily use. It is well made. I have many bags in my collection - backpacks and messenger style bags. I was looking for a bag that I can use when I am biking, walking, out and about, that would hold (comfortable) gear that I need. What I like the most about the bag is that the front bottom pouch holds my Vanquest EDCM-HUSKY Maximizer (Every-Day-Carry Maximizer) - which has items that I carry every day - like first aid kit and emergency supplies - Which btw has really come in handy. The smaller section above it allows me to carry emergency battery charger for my phone and other small items. The larger section can be used for a change of clothing, extra water, and other needs. I really love the fact that it has a water bottle holder - I was looking at Maxpedition Noatak Gearslinger -- but could not justify the cost at a 56 dollar difference. The sling fits comfortable on my neck and across the body in the right places. Even with packing it to its max compacity it feels light on the back and the shoulders, where backpacks dig in, this doesn't and shifts the weight across the body rather than just on the shoulders. The zippers flow well and allows you to put items in at the top or on the sides. Even with packing it for a day trip with my nieces and nephew who always want their snacks and water bottles, it wasn't a hassle to take things in and out. without taking it off. It easily slides to the front for easy access.Update 7/7/15I wanted to attach morale patches to the bag so I purchased a 2-inch wide roll of industrial velcro and attached it to the top pouch. So far so good. The bag goes with me everywhere and I have been modifying this bag to meet my days needs. It has come in handy several times. This is not a survival set but rather a daily need bag. Here is a list of what I keep.2oz sport sunscreen2oz Tan cream1oz creamAdventure Medical Kit Ultralight Watertight Medical Kit 7 (with extra items I find myself usingtin of AltoidsMy medsToilet kitFountain Pens and repair kitNotebook (several different types)EDC Vanquest emergency kit with flashlights, etc..Thermal Sleeping bag -- the blankets were to flimsyLint brushScarf that can act as a light blanketWipesCold towels for summerSwiss army knife multi-tool.PNY 6X battery charger (this or something like it is a must if you are out and about all day)Samsung TabletIt can change from time to time. The one feature that I didn't think I would like but I come to love is the two zippers on the main compartment, I can either reach in from the top or unzipper and organize the inside pockets which makes it easier to get to the stuff at the "bottom" of the bag.I know that Red Rock Gear is aimed at men, but it would be nice to see and urban edition in pink or blue.I was looking for a jobsite briefcase, not an overnight bag.I knew I wanted the sling style from a seeing a pack my brother has. Total on/off convenience, yet it stays on even when you have to bend. And I needed it to be versatile, both because of the wide variety of what I need to pack in it as well as how things might change down the road. This pack has proven to fulfill all my needs. No more digging. I haul lots of personal electronics with me each day, and everything has its unique place. My BT speaker/case fits the water bottle spot snugly. Another compartment sorts out my external battery, chargers, and cables. The main compartment just accepts the perimeter of my folio (paper pad holder/organizer), but the depth lets me put in plenty of extra file folders. This is my first experience with molle. A caribiner keeps my key ring in easy reach. An old pocket camera case attached to one side holds my mp3 with its accessories. Everything I need is stowed, and I have only tapped 60% of the built-in capacity/compartments of the pack. I have left the CCW pouch empty for now, and can see how the sling makes that pouch rapidly accessible. The pack lets me prioritize by placing the most important/frequent items in the fastest access spots. But nothing is really more than a couple of fasteners away--and nothing else has to be disturbed to get to it. Nothing is loose, and only in the main compartment do things share the same space. The size of the compartments and the nesting spots built into each of them couldn't have been better for my needs if I had made this custom. With the sling, this pack actually has two orientations. It has multiple carry handles to respect that. The zippers also recognize that more than one way might be "up".My respect for the pack was really earned when I first started wearing it. There is a cross strap w/clip so that you can secure against slipping/bouncing if you need to go fast or rugged. I don't need it day-to-day, and it was a nuisance hanging loose. I thought to myself, "there ought to be a way to stow this strap". Duh, I looked closely and found a neatly crafted button hole in the back mesh that let me feed the strap up into a cavity so that the strap is completely out of the way, but ready for the day that I need it.In doing my due diligence I saw packs for three times the price of this one, and I can't imagine what they might have to outdo this pack. It has had 8+ months of nearly daily use and could still pass for new.I purchased this sling pack to use for work, to carry two tablets (1 Surface Pro 5, 1 iPad 6), and slim compartment clipboard, various hand tools, zip ties, etc.The pack I had been using was a different design, with a large front flap with MOLLE straps. The problem with that design is that once you put a couple of MOLLE pouches on the main flap, getting to the stuff inside that flap is a pain in the you-know-what.So I have been searching for a replacement for some time. It was difficult to find something with the right configuration that wasn't too large or too small.I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger on this one. Both tablets and clipboard fit in the main compartment. It's a little snug, but not bad. I can access all the pockets and pouches, even with one large MOLLE pouch attached to the front. I don't need the other pouches I used now, since the integral pouches are easily accessible. The smaller size also forced me to get rid of stuff I hadn't used in a year, which made it a little lighter. The shoulder strap is nice, very comfortable. I use it cross-body, so I lengthened the strap as far as it would go, and tucked away/removed all the other straps. I also like the carry handle at the top. The shoulder strap and carry handle were must-haves for me. I like that there are no backpack style straps. It seems very sturdy, though time will tell.I also like that all of the zippers have paracord pulls. I had to buy separate ones for my old pack.Overall a good pack, happy with the purchase.I need a simple backpack to carry my DSLR camera as well as my 13.3" laptop. This is a sturdy good price one, very comfortable on my shoulder. The reason for 4 stars, is, I tried to store the laptop into the space (see photos), although I measured the space that can fit my laptop but unfortunately the opening is just a little bit small, I can not stack the laptop into it, so I have to put the laptop into main compartment. (see photo). The lower outer compartment is large enough for my camera (see photo), though a little bit tight. I think I can carry extra lence in the upper compartment.I got this bag back in March of this year, I got it as a hiking bag/go bag and I've taken it on 4 to 5 long hikes. The strap is already coming away from the main portion. I like the look of this bag very tactical but now having it I see the single strap is bad on the neck and the build quality is much weaker than what I'd expect for the 60+ dollars I spent on it. Would not recommend this product to any hikers if it can't handle a med kit a water bottle, knife, and a granola bar being stuffed inside it less that 6 times then it's not good. If the strap was padded more abd reinforced it would make the world of difference in my review .. but it's not.As others have stated the string in the water bottle holster broke after a week of use hunting. So far that would be the only negative thing I have to report. The fabric is extremely durable so far, weather resistant, zippers have been excellent, fairly comfortable to wear. There are so many pockets/organizers/loops and hooks to attach gear it really is incredible. Much better value than its Sitka counterpart. Other than the cheap fabric and string at the top of the water bottle pocket I have not found any real problems yet. I would have preferred to give it 4.5 if that was an option. Don't pay full price neither. The product functionality is a great concept. However the build quality is very poor. Quality control is extremely lacking. I had to return this item three times before I finally just accepted a refund. The first bag had a defective inside pocket zipper. Second return had an incomplete side strap that only had one side of the strap sewn. The third bag had a defective button and zipper. I am just at a loss for words to describe how after three returns I was still receiving defective products.Excelente backpack, buenos materiales, cómoda y muy práctica, la uso incluso para llevar mi laptop (aunque no es su función) y como pañalera cuando salgo con mi hijo, lo mejor es el precio, sin duda la recomiendo
