The rug is beautiful - even better in person than in the picture! The wool and silk gives the rug a luxurious feel.It is hard to tell from the picture, but there is fringe on the short ends of the rug. The color in the picture is also a little different than I expected, but I assume that it due to the size of the picture and getting the entire rug into the picture.Very well made and beautiful detail.I do not have any input on shedding or durability yet as we are redecorating throughout the house and have not yet put it down.
