Fumito Nunoya plays wonderfully, both western classic and eastern music. I am not too familiar with eastern music, but must say that the music is persuasive and beautiful. Unfortunately, the production doesn't do the remarkable virtuosity of this artist any justice. The western classical pieces sound harsh in the viscant and the background percussion in the eastern pieces is barely audible, even with good stereo equipment.I eagerly look forward to Fumito Nunoya's upcoming releases, as the artist is probably one of the most intriguing that I learned about in 2010 (through WGBH Podcasts). However, I hope that he choses a better producer. The WGBH production, for instance, has marvelous sound quality (at that bit rate).
