Double bassist Francois Moutin started his career with the legendary Martial Solal Trio, and, after performing with many of the top names in jazz, is now recognised as one of the finest bass players in Europe. He co-leads The Moutin Reunion Quartet with his twin brother Louis, a top echelon drummer. Joining Francois and Louis on their latest recording are ex - Miles Davis saxophonist Rick Margitza and pianist Baptiste Trotignon - integral members of the quartet and perfect accompanists. With more than a hundred gigs and four tours of the United States under their belt it's no surprise that the bands exceptional musical chemistry is well to the fore on this new release, their second for Nocturne.
