I've been reading and re-reading Biggles books (all of them) for nearly 50 years, and I know large chunks off by heart. Turned out just as well in this case, since there's a point where the continuity is messed up, and you have to jump forward, then back, then forward again.Apart from that glitch, though, it was a delight to read on kindle; I can finally take several Biggles books travelling wth me. The updates have been sympathetically done, retaining the style and political context of the original, and merely adding some extra footnotes with additional explanations.Parents may be concerned about the imperialistic flavour, but it offers today's children valuable insights into the attitudes of the past. And Biggles himself is surprisingly enlightened at times.Highly recommended.
