Looked at some reviews before buying this item. Not sure how the strap lock could be pushed in by your instrument cable accidentally if it is looped around the strap. The way it operates is by putting your thumb on top and index finger and middle finger underneath the lock and pinching. Seems like a reliable product for my new Schecter. Glad they make multiple colors as well because I was looking for a specific color and this was the only strap lock I could find with this color (that doesn't produce cheap imitations from China). I own schallers as well and will say that this lock is a bit bulkier.
