You'll need a small screwdriver, eye glasses size, to get to the battery to get the plastic tab out. The light is easily adjusted, does click into place in a more upright position and bends down to a 90° but in time I'm pretty sure it will get so loose it'll either be upright or bent fall to 90° because of how easy it moves. If it were just a little tighter put together it probably wouldn't be a thought out of the gates. For the price this light is definitely worth it! So bright it covers the entire page, a nice white light too. My eyes aren't stressed, it feels like I could read all night! I love how small and sleek it is too, I'm honestly thinking about buying multiples for my purse, the junk drawer, a couple in my truck, for my daughter's rooms and one for their bags too, it's so small and for the price, they're prefect to stash away anywhere for those 'I need some light' moments. If something comes up I'll update but at this time, I'm only wondering how long until the arm stays clicked upright or falls to the 90°...I would have loved to give a 5 because it is petite, and very bright. Good quality. The only issue I had was you have to open the battery compartment up to pull the plastic tab out, instead of the tab sticking out of the compartment. Normally no big deal, but it's a very tiny screw. (You will need a Phillips head, the same size they use for glasses)I love the size. I use it to light my pocket-size prayer book in church without disturbing anyone around me. Just bought another one, I like it that much!EXTREMELY DIFFICULT BATTERY COMPARTMENT: Poor design of battery compartment. Must have eyeglasses Phillips screwdriver to open battery compartment to remove battery separator. If you don’t remove it, the light won’t work. The compartment screw could not be opened because it was tightly machine-screwed in place. My husband is an engineer and had appropriate tools and could NOT open battery compartment! If the manufacturer is reading reviews, fix this if you want to sell this product successfully. Returned it because it does not work.Could literally be used as a flashlight. Very nice light to read Bible in pitch dark.Great little light perfect and it’s bright and fits perfect in my pursePositive features: the small size is very practical, and it also makes it very light in weight, so even af thin book can handle it. It comes with batteries.Negative features: firstly, even though it comes with batteries you still need to open it up to remove a plastic sticker of the batteries. To do so you need a very, very small screwdriver, so if you don't have acces to a teeny tiny screwdriver you won't be able to turn on the light. Secondly, when the light is positioned on the book the on/off switch isn't accesable. Thirdly, the head only goes up or down, but NOT sideways so if this is your only lightsource you ned to move it around constantly to illuminate the page enough.I wouldn't buy this again, but will use it until it dies.spent a long time deciding which one, and at the end went for this small light device. honestly not working, if you change the position over the kindle cover, it turns off like there is a false contact with batteries, tried to fix it in changing batteries, but no way. not advised at allMy daughter got this light for Christmas, she uses it for about 20 minutes every night. I've had to change the batteries 3 times in 2 months and now it's completely useless as it no longer turns on!When it worked it was really bright and exactly what she needed. Rubbish that its broken after 2 months though. Very disappointing. The light strength is good. It's easy to clip onto the pages of a book. The only problem I have is with the battery cover which is not closing properly and so Im probably going to hve to use tape, which is a shame. Other than that, it's quite a useful thing to have for readers. I got pink.Lovely little light for a night time reader (my son can get through one book a week in his bed while we are all asleep.)
