One of the things that drives me crazy on amazon is the "I just received this and it's great, 5 stars" review. Perhaps this type of review is useful for a packet of tissues, but for something you are actually going to use, you need a perspective on a long term durability. Anything else is completely unhelpful. My Cafelat Tubbi Knock Box just broke, almost exactly two years after I received it. I used this thing multiple times per day for the full duration. Typically I will pull from 3-5 shots per day. Sometimes more if we have guests. And when I knock the puck out of the basket, I give it a pretty heavy "thud". So if we assume, on average, 5 "thuds" per day for around 730 days, then this knock box is good for about 3500 "thuds". That's pretty durable for some plastic. The part of the box that broke was not the outer shell, but the cross bar. I'm not sure if two years of use is good or bad from the perspective of the manufacturers, but I considered it to be solid. However I do wonder if something that was metallic would be even more durable, so that's what I'll be trying in the future.I liked the shape of the box, the mouth width is sufficiently wide that it does not result in spillage of grinds when unloading the puck and the box is stable on the countertop when unloading the puck. It never tips over, ever. It's also easy to clean. If you care about looks, this looks fine enough. My only preference would be that it was a little bit bigger ( I tend to empty it every second day), but that's a minor concern in the grand scheme of things.
