This massage tool is well made, and very easy to grip. Most importantly the shape allows you to get into each and every little nook and cranny. This offers wonderful pain relief.I have been suffering from trigger points in my SCM muscles and TMJ pain. I just go to town massaging my face and neck muscles, along with any other trigger points I find. I have had the most wonderful pain relief. My jaw isn’t popping anymore and I have much better range of motion in my neck. The price is nothing for the amount of relief this massage tool gives. I have been using this every other day for a very stubborn trigger point that I have just below my left ear. When you find the right spot you will definitely know it. Just hold the knobble still on the spot and you will feel the knot melting away and will immediately feel the muscle tension fading away.I like the knobble so much that I have purchased it twice. I have the blue and purple. Bought the second one to keep in my travel bag. I never want to be without my knobble.I have nothing negative to say about this product. I haven’t found any faults, just amazing results from such a small and inexpensive item.had zero expectation of this thing, but my therapist uses a similar item, it really works and is easy to use. recommendEasy to hold even if you have pain in your hands. Very nice to work on trigger points, and also good to scrape over the skin to release fascia. The small size means it's easy to maneuver around bony parts like shoulder, ribs, knees, hips. I even use it to do self lymph drainage.Great small gift and grab one for yourself. I keep mine in my purse. Anyway, I accidentally ran across this product and decided it was worth a try. Literally, the day is came a tweaked my neck terribly. It was like the worst I have ever done. This baby, bio freeze, lidocaine patch, and heat when I went to bed relieved 75% of the pain and knot by morning. Continued use of the bio freeze completely fixed it in two days.I've been using this tool for about three months at the time of this review, and I am extremely pleased with it. I am a licensed massage therapist and I use this and the Indexknobber II in just about every session I perform. This tool I primarily use over the client's back and shoulders on prone. It's great for penetrating the traps and getting in deep along the spine. Can take a little getting used to using it with the non-dominant hand, but the skill develops in time. One tip I have is to apply pressure with one hand while directing the tool about with the other. The Knobble II also works well on the feet and sometimes over the lateral portion of the hips, but I use the Indexknobber II pretty much everywhere else. I started using these tools because my hands just couldn't take the beatings I was giving them anymore. I thought I was going to have to retire from massage, but after working with these great tools for just a brief period of time, I feel revitalized.I do have a warning and that is that I think this tool would be quite dangerous in the wrong therapist's hands. If you're a hack therapist with a poor sense of touch, this is not the tool for you. Please don't use it on others; you might hurt someone. That being said, anyone can use them on themselves for self care purposes. I massage my hands and traps quite a bit this this tool. I didn't purchase this with the intention of using it for self care, but it has nonetheless become something I use on myself on a more or less daily basis. The reason I'm giving it four stars is because of the rubber grip that runs around it. The rubber on mine is deteriorating already (and has been for a while) which is annoying, but my larger concern is what happens if/when enough of it erodes off to reveal the rough/sharp edge that I'm pretty confident is underneath what the rubber part is covering. This tool works because it is smooth, so if that smoothness is lost, that could become a problem. As someone with a wonky neck caused by computer neck strain, the key for me is to target not just that top layer of muscles, but get in Deep to that interlocked underlayer (that you might not notice if it wasn't inflamed, but you probably can recognize if you are on here). I'd tried practically everything; foam rollers, expensive massages, until I just devolved into rolling around on the floor on a tennis ball or golf ball to get that pressure i needed on the right spot, until the ball slipped away, where I would then retrieve and repeat. It was so ineffective that family eventually got used to seeing me like this and would just step over my splayed body in their comings and goings. We considered getting a little fetch dog to help out, but thought to try this instead first.Well after 6 months use I can say this little sucker did the trick! Thanks to its perfectly nipple-shaped-but-knuckle-feeling on one side and rounded-bottom ergonomic design on the other; I've got my dignity back, yet am still pain-free! Fraction of a star deducted because that tiny little rubber string holder, keychain hole thing broke off, but honestly if you are carrying this around on a string you probably need even a stronger intervention. At the very least I saved myself spending my retirement money on electo-accupuncture and vet care but in theory also saved myself a potential opiate addiction! This works great for pressing doesn't into the top of my shoulders when they get sore and stiff and it's good for pressing into my calves, which have issues with cramping. I like to push where it hurts the most and just breath through it until the muscle relaxes. When I massage sore muscles if it doesn't make your breath catch and leave you tender to the touch it's no good. I'd rather work out a knot in one go until it's gone. I'd rather deal with slight soreness instead of muscle pain from being tight. This would be better if the puck-shaped part also had grips on the top because if I want to lay on it to get it behind my shoulder blades or into my back or the back of my neck it slides around really bad and makes it hard to keep it pressing into the right place. Otherwise it's a great product and digs into the muscles well.+ shape of the item means more pressure where you need it, by using less effort+ comfortable to hold+ plastic feels sturdy and well madeThis has been an absolute godsend to help with my scalp pain/tension headaches/neck ache. I used to massage myself but my thumbs would get so tired. This arrived item arrived today and I finally have some relief from my throbbing headache! So pleased with the item that I've rushed to review it straight away.My physio said to get this tool, to release tight muscles in my forearm - the tightness a result of tennis elbow. The Knobble is easy to grip, and creates the same feel and pressure as if I was using my thumb, but at a better angle AND with less effort to the opposing hand/arm doing the work! The tool also works well when I use it on my partner's neck and shoulder blades to release tension and offer pain relief. It is a handy travel-friendly size and weight as well. A great piece of kit that I really fine useful.I am a physical therapist. This is a decent tool to use during deep tissue massage, but it repressents two big issues.First of all you haven't got a clue how much pressure you add when using this, so it requires a very high level of patient/therapist communication to avoid going too deep. Secondly it is only suited for certain areas, I have used it with sucess on the glutes, lower back and around the thighs. If you have issues with sore hands do not get your hopes up - this won't save you. That being said - it does repressent a decent way of adding a high amounth of pressure to certain areas without ruining your thumb and is in it's own right a good supplement to a therapists arsenal of equipment. The base of this isn't really stable enough to try to find trigger points in areas like glutes. It rolls over if you move around trying to find the right spot. Will be trying a different brand. Good for use for massage though.A good idea but sadly has not helped me much
