We shop and cook for two, which means buying small sizes of spices to keep them fresh. Our round metal spoons just won't fit, whereas these work fine: all nine fit into metal tins and up through 1 tsp fit into glass bottles. I went for the 9-piece set just to get the 1.5 T spoon, which is very handy when cutting a recipe in half. We have since taken a liking to the "pinch", but never use the 2/3 tsp or 2 tsp sizes.These well-constructed plastic spoons are substantial enough to dig into dense powders (e.g. cocoa) and they survive the dishwasher hi-temp cycle just fine. The spoons are accurate (I tested them), unlike many of the metal oval spoons reviewed on Amazon.I took off a star because of the poor labeling mentioned by other reviewers. The small, narrow, inset font is difficult to read quickly compared to both our older plastic spoon set and to a Williams Sonoma metal set.I have used these in the dishwasher since 2012 and no damage yet. They are lighter than the metal set so easier to use. And why keep them on a ring? Awkward to measure with a bunch of other spoons hanging on. I remove the ring and keep several sets in a small plastic box in my kitchen drawer. That way I can always find what I need. Ordering a 3rd set for my vacation home now.Needed a new set of spoons that have a 1/3rd spoon. Not thrilled with the curve of the spoon but I think this is to help contents in the spoons not to fall out. They wash fine in the top rack of the dishwasher if I have used them to measure cooking oil or something. I like that they can be kept together in my utensils drawer too.The color works great to find them easily too.If these were metal, I would give them 5 stars. It's really helpful to have all those odd sizes mixed in with the typical ones. Plus, they really are the perfect size and shape. I'm sure eventually I will break or burn one of them, so metal would be better, but I certainly would have paid 3x-4x what I did for these if they were metal, so I probably still made out by getting these.I own a set of these measuring spoons and just ordered another. They fit into spice and other jars easily, and have some odd measurements, like the pinch that is 1/16th of a teaspoon that I use for measuring supplements and some Indian spices for which a pinch is all you need for the flavor. I really don't understand why most measuring spoons are round, they don't fit into anything. I have never found the oval spoons in a store, so I am glad I can order these through Amazon. These are really handy.I really like these measuring spoons. The measurements are etched in, so they won't wash off. They include the 1/8 Tsp and 1 1/2 Tsp (1/2 TB) which I really wanted. They also include the Pinch spoon which I needed. It doesn't say 1/16 Tsp on it which is annoying, but it does say .31 ml which is the same thing. At least it says something, unlike other sets which just say Pinch, nothing else. They also are curved, so you can stand them up on the counter.I give 3 stars, because I paid $8.95 for a set of "CHEAP" plastic measuring spoons. These will not last long, if you do not take care of them. Afraid to place in dish washer, because the heat would eventually make these crack no doubt. Although, it's nice having different sizes for when needed. Very cheap plastic. I have several sets of measuring spoons, paid a lot less for, made out of plastic, although none are made out of this cheap type of plastic.Thought this would be the greatest but it has turned out to be just OK. We had to diconnect them all to use and now they are all over the drawer. The additional sizes that I thought were nice have not really gotten any use. I do not see theses as being any better than my old metal ones.This is very sturdy and well made. I'm pleased enough with it, as my cheaper, older spoon set did not stand up to use very well, and the edges of the bigger bowls became frayed. That's unlikely to happen to this set.I gave it four instead of five stars, because the spoon bowls are arched backwards from the handle. The arch is part of the design, and is apparently intended to keep the spoons from spilling 'when sitting on the counter.' That may be true, but how many of us measure an ingredient then set the spoon on the counter? Usually you dump the ingredient into the bowl, don't you? This feature isn't one I appreciate. The arch makes getting into narrow jars a little bit more difficult, and makes it easier to spill stuff while getting it out of a container, or filling it from a jar.However, that aside, it's a good set.Exactly what I expected.Great shape for getting in small spice jars, but no pinch spoon as I had been led to expect by other reviews.Da ich eine ausgeprägte Vorliebe für amerikanische Koch- und Backbücher habe, habe ich mir dieses Löffelset zeitgleich mit diesempraktischen Messbecherset gekauft: Ich benutze die Messlöffel nun seit ziemlich genau einem Jahr für amerikanische Rezepte wie Pancakes, Baked Brownies, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Cake's und so weiter. Zu empfehlen wäre noch ein Messbecher mit "Cup"-Maßen. In dieser Kombination und zusammen mit einer Küchenwaage wie der Soehnle Page Profi die auf "Ounces" umstellbar und bis 15kg belastbar ist, sollte man für jedes US-Rezept gut gerüstet sein.Die Löffel verrichten ansonsten ihren Dienst wie es von ihnen verlangt wird. Nach getaner Arbeit wandern sie bei mir jedes mal in die Spülmaschine und dann wieder in den Schieber. Bisher gibt es keine Abnutzungs- oder Alterserscheinungen. Sehen aus wie am ersten Tag. Von daher kann ich diese Löffel definitiv mit fünf Sternen weiterempfehlen. :-)
