Worked ad expected. Keep in mind the left petal is reverse thread so you need to remove it by turning the wrench the opposite way.Every "mountain" bike style pedals that either came with 14" or 20" bikes, had no ridges or grooves on the pedals for shoes to grab onto. After searching all over Amazon, I came across these pedals that would fit onto my son's 20" smaller frame bike, so I ordered these up. Shipping took a bit longer than I would've hoped (about 8 days), but once I got them I could immediately tell the pedals themselves were larger than what you see on most kids' mountain bikes, but it had the 1/2" threads on it.After my 7 yr old has been using these pedals for the past couple of months now, I can tell these are a HUGE improvement over what he had before on his bike - the original slippery plastic pedals. These pedals are wider so there's more room for his feet, and that's good for him since he's been learning to stand up and pedal more now. The grip on these pedals is really noticeable and I don't ever see his feet slipping off anymore like they used to before.Great pedals at a good price. With they could've offered some in metal in a 1/2" size, but these are the next best things. We got this all plastic pedals for our testing and product development test bikes, and we used them on 2 different bikes. The test riders are new to mountain biking, and we wanted a pedal that would provide good grip, but would not be as hard, sharp or damaging as a full metal pedal with metal pegs on the pedals. The Odyssey Twisted pedals are great for this, they still have grip, but don't damage the shines or calf as much a a full metal pedal would. They got 6 months of hard riding on them and they are holding up quite well. Great beginner flat pedal.Great pedal at fair price. Perfect for everyday use. These pedals are a great alternative to the absolute garbage pedals that usually comes with newly purchased low-end bicycles (less than ~$600). In fact, as soon as you start buying higher end bicycles, they stop coming with any pedals as standard! So in my mind, these serve a very particular purpose:-- That is, to upgrade the pedals on a bicycle you use and enjoy often, but *don't want to spend a significant amount of money on*.A commuter or "beater bike", if you will. A bicycle that, if it were to get stolen, your world wouldn't get rocked like if they stole your baby that you take out on weekends. You get the point. For around ~15 bucks, these pedals are an awesome value. Great grip while still allowing reflectors and toe-clips to be installed. No cartridge bearings but you'll need to spend a bit more for that. They are a tad bit thick so one star off for that. The next step up, I recommend Wellgo MG-1 platform pedals.Bought them to replace traditional pedals in a road bike that I use also as a commuter bike. They grip very well, but are not too aggressive for everyday use (pedals with removable metal pins are too grippy for everyday use and very hard on your shins if you hit them with your shins by mistake while walking the bike, IMO).Classic / reliable what’s not to like!Being that I used to ride back in 2001, Im used to metal pedals. I stopped riding consistently back in 2004. I started riding again on and off in 2014. I started riding Animal Hamilton PCs and I think they are good pedals and I enjoyed the knurled grip. But they are a little small for my feet but I became so used to them. I just got these pedal on Friday, rode them at the Powers Jam on Saturday. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE PEDALS! They are so grippy, and the large body helps my feet feel secure. I can hop better and riding quarter pipes is so much funner(I know...) but in all seriousness, I was supposed to get the Twisted PCs but Im happy they sent these instead! Awesome product! Highly recommend getting these!Light, wide and plenty of grip. Cheap enough too. Happy with it.One complaint/observation though - it's either not meant to be serviced or at best it's not service friendly. One pedal was too tight and turning rough. So I decided to re-grease it and re-assemble properly.First thing - the seal on the end cap disintegrated upon removal. It looked like a bead of sealant applied on the cap in the factory that's meant to cure and bind with the pedal body. Not for re-assembly.Second - the design of the axle makes it very awkward to re-tighten the nuts.I did eventually manage to bodge it but I wouldn't recommend servicing these pedals. Just buy, ride and replace. These pedals are amazing I’ve had them for years now and They never let me down, If you’re looking for great pedals these are the ones for you.Very strong pedals. Much stronger than the kit pedals that come with a BMX. Heavy duty plastic and the grip is excellent too. The white gets dirty easily but that’s to be expectedBest things for the moneyPedale werden auch bei guten Rädern oft vernachlässigt.
