Maybe it's just luck-of-the-draw, but this has been the most hassle-free Noodler's pen for me so far. The flow of the feed is about the same as an Ahab, which works fine but isn't 100% consistent. I was worried the more complex three-tined "music nib" would have issues, but it actually didn't require any adjustment. Despite the ability for such a wide line, it's not a scratchy nib, especially compared to other Noodler's pens I have such as the Konrad. It works well as a flex pen, better than an Ahab or Konrad, but provides interesting line variety even without flexing the nib. if you want completely consistent lines, this pen probably isn't good at that, it's for personality. To me, it's also one of the better looking Noodler's pens. I like that it's ebonite rather than the smelly vegetal resin Noodler's usually uses. It feels more reminiscent of a vintage pen. The "red rebellion" color is a swirl of black and a dark red. In person, the color looks similar to a classy stained wood or vintage ebonite rather than a gaudy swirl. The size and weight is comfortable. The cap is awkward to post, but that's not too important to me because posting makes the pen too long, so I don't post it. Like my other Noodler's pens, I still don't trust this as an on-the-go pen, but it's great as a desk pen and art pen.
