I'm the proud owner of a 2006 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200L. In an effort to increase my visibility on the road, I had my mechanic throw some LED bulbs on my bike to replace the ones already there.The bulbs that came from the local HD dealership sucked. They were very directional, and didn't make use of the reflector. Also, they did some weird blinky-blinky thing which I understand from Google to be called 'hyperflashing'. After calling back the mechanic to consult him on the matter, he told me to get a Badlands module. It fixed the hyperflashing and returned me to the steady turn signal blink that I know and love. As an added bonus, my turn signals now function as running lights and supplementary brake lights.Their catalog is a little bewildering to go through for a layperson like myself, but it only took one call to the manufacturer for them to tell me exactly which one I needed. I told them what kind of bike I had, they told me this is the correct model. It took me a little bit to figure it out, but here's a how-to for everyone who's as clueless as I was. Remove the seat, remove the ICU (Ignition control unit) and identify the rear fender harness. It's a little plastic wiring connector about the size of four nickel's stacked on top of each other. Depress the little tab on the part going to the taillight and it'll separate. The badlands unit fits into both of these connectors, and does its magic in-between.I didn't have enough space left under the seat to mount the lighting unit there, so I used some velcro to attach it inside of the battery cover. It's so snug in there you'd swear someone designed it that way ;-). You can use a quarter or a flat-head screw driver to pop off the stock orange bulb covers and put the red ones on. I did get some much better LED bulbs from here, but it required me to drill out the turn signal assembly just a teeny bit for them to fit. The rear bulbs use a pair of JDM AX-2835 1156 LED Bulbs while the front uses a pair of JDM AX-2835 1157 LED Bulbs.All in all, this was a very good value and easy to install.
