Bill Miller changed my life with this cd. I know I know what you're saying: this guy is over-stating the fact that he liked this cd. No, I'm not. Bill changed my life with this cd. I was given this amazing piece of work at the same time I went on my vision quest in the nineties. I'm a Native American, decendent from the Abenaki indians of the northeast, and never really thought much about my heritage...until I began listening to this cd, and reading about the ancient ones. Never got a chance to thank Bill in person, so this will have to do."The Red Road" is simply an astounding piece of work to which all of Bill's work will always be held up. But don't fret, Bill...it's a GOOD thing! He opens this masterpiece with "Dreams of Wounded Knee" and "Praises" which will stir the soul of anyone dealving into native american ways. I have to admit, Bill....I have 'borrowed' "Many Trails" which I have recited in my own shows at one time, when I and a very good female artist did a tour focusing on the impact of native americans on music in our life. Everyone should hear this story, of a young boy hearing the voice of a whipoorwill and attempting to find him. In honor of Bill, I even recorded "Faith of a Child" on this artist, and this song is no less amazing; a story of Anita who was born crippled in body, but not in love and spirit. Each time I hear Bill Miller sing "My People" i feel my soul linked to my ancestors. Good people, if you don't have this cd in your player now, you should. I guarantee you will be moved by Bill Miller, and touched by his closeness to the things he sings about. And apart from all the above accolades, Bill is an astounding singer and plu-perfect songwriter in every sense of those words. Again, thanks Bill.....on behalf of myself, and all others who will also be influenced by this great piece of music. OH, by the way.....Bill Miller has a full body of cd work for you folks to draw on, and I recommend them all. This is a true artist, and if I may use the word, "unsung" in the truest sense. Keep on moving down the Red Road, Bill........i'll meet you along the way, I am sure.joshua david whitmorewindeagle talent & management agency
