've purchased this yarn in several different colors to make hat and scarf combo gifts. It generally takes me two skeins to complete both but at the value, it is a great yarn. The yarn is soft but has a really good body. I've gone through seven skeins so far without a knot.The solid color skein is 4.5 ounces with 247 yards of worsted weight (4) acrylic yarn. It is a true worsted weight. I mention this because so many advertised worsted weight yarns these days are what I would consider a lighted worsted weight (somewhere between a 3 and a 4.) There is a light version of this yarn available if you are looking for a Sport (3) size yarn.I use either a size J or a K crochet hook with this yarn. Anything smaller (with my tension), I found the result a little too thick and tight for my comfort.The Ladybug yarn is a beautiful true red. The Dolphin is a pretty shade of medium light gray and the Teddy is a beige which borders on a light brown tone. I will definitely be buying more of this yarn. I'm thinking of a thick, soft cozy afghan for my next project.
