I've unknowingly had one Redwing belt since 2006 and it has lasted. Pretty much every other belt I've bought since then fell apart in months. Always wished I could buy another belt like that with a different buckle but I bought it in a little shop in Moab thinking it was a one off. Happened to look at the backside one day and lo and behold I could just make out the wings! Immediately bought another and it looks to be the same quality. I'm so happy.Being a big Red Wing fan, and owner a pair of Iron Rangers in Amber Harness, as well as a pair of Roughnecks in Briar Oil Slick (I love both), I wanted matching belts. My waistband tape measurement after a big lunch is 37". I got this belt in a 36.Pros:1. If you get the right size (I suggest sizing down 1 size from your actual waistband tape measurement), it fits very well (center hole)2. The leather is supple and looks nice.3. Made in USA.On the down side, I found 3 issues that disappointed me with these belts:1. Colorway MatchingThis belt in Amber Pioneer looked about the same as Amber Harness on the website. I contacted Red Wing Shoes Customer Service to be sure. They told me that they don't have belts that are an exact match for the Amber Harness , also they do not make any belts in the Briar Oil Slick colorway. bummer. I found it odd that the Iron Rangers in Amber Harness have chrome hardware, and this belt has brass-colored hardware. I guess I just figured that it would be a no-brainer to make the belts match the shoes.2. Design & QualityThe Stitching securing the buckle to the belt (Belt Keep) is perpendicular to the length of the belt, which perforates the leather and weakens it (think: paper towels). Also, the stitching is visibly lower quality compared to what you will find on Red Wing Boots - This belt has crooked and uneven stitch work. The thickness of the belt is only 3mm.3. Price$89 for a size 36Consensus:I expected more quality, consistency and better product integration from Red Wing, considering the stitch quality on the shoes and the fact they source the leather from the same tannery. The price point is too high. Belts from competitors like Duluth Trading Company are least >25% thicker, better design and quality stitching. and $20-$30 less with a lifetime warranty. If you have to have a belt by Red Wing, and don't mind over-paying for what you are getting, then go for it, otherwise, there are better products out there. It's a decent good looking belt however the leather is thin which makes it appear cheap.I purchased this belt to replace my old belt which lasted me for over 10 years. Need less to say, the old belt was my favorite and was really well made. Unfortunately, I could not find the same exact belt and was pretty bummed out. But After receiving this product in the mail, I was very pleased with not only the quality and the feel but also on how identically close it came to my favorite belt. Overall I was very satisfied with my purchase and I would highly recommend this product.ThanksJustin HThis isn't what I expected from a full grain leather belt of this price. The backside is poorly finished compared to similar full grain belts I own. What I mean is that it has patches where it's rough and the fibers are longish, as well as several very prominent machine / knife marks. One of these put such a deep impression in the back that it can be seen on the front side as well. That particular area is weak and the belt likes to fold over in that place when you handle it. I fully expect it will tear in that place some years down the road, when you normally expect a thick, full grain belt to be indestructible. I almost feel like I was given a 'second' because this is not what I expect from Red Wing.A damn fine belt. Purchased a "32 EU" size. I normally wear 32-33" pants and it sits on either the 2nd or 3rd notch (out of 5). I bought the "amber pioneer" color and the belt color is very true to the picture. The belt is flexible but stiff enough for me to hang my cordless impact wrench on. I'd probably say it's stiff enough to use for a holster as well if you carry.Definitely recommend, I'll probably purchase another within a year (just to rotate them out), I fully expect this to last quite some time even with everyday use.Great quality and craftsmanship.I order the same size as my Levi’s 511, and it fits the tightest hole, I think my next one may order one size down. The color is nice, the leather is good and a little bit soft than I expected. As describedAs describedMatches red heritage shoes perfectly. Good quality.I'm very happy with my purchase and the company are top class. Thankyou very much.I had been searching for a new belt for quite some time to replace my every day go to Replay Jeans belt, that has lasted almost 25 years. I came across this Red Wing Heritage Leather Belt and knowing Red Wing's usual reputation for high quality products I thought this belt would be a good replacement for my old, well worn belt. I was not afraid of the price as normally one gets what they pay for. However, this belt is nothing even close to the quality of my old belt. The leather is thin and feels cheap and the stitching is nothing to write home about. After only wearing this belt for 2 weeks it is already stretching out and beginning to become misshaped. I can easily see that this belt will not last anywhere near the length of time that my old belt has. I am disappointed in this product and in retrospect I would not have purchased it.On the issue of belt sizing which seems to be discussed quite a bit in these reviews, I should have listened to the warnings about going with a size down from what is recommended. Definitely, if you do decide to buy one of these belts, go at least 1 size down from what the size chart indicates you should. Normally with a belt if your waste size is for example 36" you would use a belt one size up from that at 38". I purchased according to this standard rule for belts and what is also recommended by Red Wing and the belt I received is way too long and I am using the very last belt hole now and I will probably need put another hole in the belt in order to be able to pinch the belt to its proper tightness. My humble advice to Red Wing is that they improve the quality, fit and finish of these bests so as to not reflect poorly on their other relied upon quality products.Best of luck to you all! I hope this information is useful.
