It didn't take long for me to fall in love with this album. About 20 seconds into "Cutting My Fingers Off" i knew I would like this album. About 1 minute and 45 seconds into the same song, I FELL IN LOVE. This album captured a very melancholy nostalgia for someone who lived and died by the Get Up Kids, Mineral, Pop Unknown, and any other number of much more obscure indie/emo bands from the late 90's and early aughts. I imagine fans of current bands like Modern Baseball, Into It Over It, Pentimento, etc. you'd love this, though I personally think this album is better than anything those other bands put out! If you want a perfect fall album, this is it. It's a great album year round, but it really finds it home when the days are a little shorter, the sun sets a little oranger, and the leaves a little deader. If I could only keep one album from 2015, this would be it.
