I've been a horror film fan for ages, even written a couple of books on the cinematic genre, and can honestly say that "The Red Resurrection" is a must have. Indie filmmaker Matt Long has pulled off an astounding feat with his first feature-length picture - it doesn't look like a first effort at all. The movie, featuring Kirstie Piper, Jacob Reinhard and Daniel Cutteridge in principal roles, is well-acted, boasts stunning photography, good crisp sound, and presents a tale that commands viewer attention. In fact, the way the camera lingers and roves around the viewer will get the feeling they are actually in the picture and along for the zombie journey leading to restoration. Being dead yet born again and saved. The film is a Christian allegory, but it's presentation regarding that is subtle. It's the big invisible elephant in the room. Thus, the movie is never preachy and I'd recommend the film to anyone - of faith or not. No doubt, "The Red Resurrection" is the best movie I have seen this year. Bravo!
